Sister Laurinda announces her retirement

Dear Friends,
 
I want to share with you dear people that I have submitted my resignation after 47 good years with you. St. Chris has been a part of my life for 47 years of my 60 years in our Franciscan Community. After much prayer, tears and discernment, I have come to this conclusion.
 
My heart is torn but feels maybe this is the time. My knee surgery went well, until I fell on the sidewalk here at Mount St. Francis resulting in 25+ stitches. The knee is showing signs of healing.
 
I will forever be grateful for these 47 years spent at St. Chris. Each of you is wonderful. I am grateful for the many relationships we have formed in these years of my prayerful journey. Precious is the ongoing prayer and daily trust I was granted with your children in my classes.
 
With the S.V.D.P, I have touched many lives. Karen McCarthy and Joe Frontera will continue to carry on this wonderful ministry that I also have been a part of for many years. We are always looking forward to new members.
 
Making this decision is a life-changing experience for me- full of gratitude. My heart is torn, but I will be back to visit! I will forever be grateful to you, my parish and my home, for these 47 years with you.
 
May the Peace of St. Francis & St. Clare be with you in your daily walk.

Queridos Amigos,
 
Quiero compartir con ustedes que he presentado mi renuncia después de 47 años con ustedes. San Christopher ha sido parte de mi vida durante 47 de mis 60 años en nuestra Comunidad Franciscana. Después de mucha oración, lágrimas y discernimiento, he llegado a esta conclusión.
 
Mi corazón esta triste pero siento que tal vez este sea el momento. Mi  cirugía de rodilla salió bien, hasta que me caí en Mount St. Francis y necesite más de 25 puntadas. La rodilla muestra signos de curación.
 
Siempre estaré agradecida por estos 47 años pasados en St. Chris. Cada uno de ustedes es maravilloso. Estoy agradecida por las muchas relaciones que hemos formado en estos años de mi viaje de oración. Preciosa es la oración constante y la confianza diaria que me otorgaron con sus hijos en mis clases.
 
Con S.V.D.P [la despensa de comida] he tocado muchas vidas. Karen McCarthy y Joe Frontera continuarán llevando a cabo este maravilloso ministerio del que yo también he sido parte durante muchos años. Siempre estamos esperando nuevos miembros.
 
Tomar esta decisión es una experiencia que me cambia la vida y está llena de gratitud. ¡Mi corazón está destrozado, pero volveré a visitarlos! Siempre estaré agradecida con ustedes, mi parroquia y mi hogar, por estos 47 años junto a ustedes.
 
Que la Paz de San Francisco y Santa Clara los acompañe en su camino diario.
