Fr. Robinson&#039;s Message 12/25/22

Dear Brothers and Sisters,

Merry Christmas!

What a great opportunity that the Church gives us so that we can all come together to celebrate this magnificent Solemnity of the Nativity of the Lord. It will always be beautiful to recognize the great truth that is manifested on this day with the birth of the Messiah, also called Emmanuel, a word that means "God with us." Isn't that one of the greatest certainties and promises that we want to make present in our lives? Truly God is with us. Let no one and nothing rob us of that deep conviction. And if God is with us, says Saint Paul, who will be against us? This Christmas season is the right time to renew our faith in God, who does not abandon us or leave us adrift from problems and difficulties or from those who want to hurt us. He himself wants the salvation of the human race and has given us as Savior his own Son, Jesus Christ the Lord.

On this Christmas Day I want to thank each one of you for being here, for praying with us to the God who comes to our lives, for coming together as a community of faith to celebrate Christ being born. May he be born in the heart of each one of you, may his mercy and love be manifested in your family and daily life, may the most beautiful feelings of Christmas extend to every aspect of your life and to every person you meet.

Here at St. Augustine Parish, we will continue to be there to serve you and help you get closer to Christ. As you can see on page 5, we are introducing our staff members so that you can continue to get to know us. We are willing to accompany you in whatever you need. Let us know how we can guide and help you. I want to take the opportunity to thank our parish staff. Thank you for helping us in this transition, which has not been easy for most of us, but your service, patience, and perseverance have helped everything to work out despite the difficult moments. Thank you for saying yes to work in the Church.

And to all the parishioners, members of the various ministries and organizations, students and staff at the school, parish staff, visitors and friends all, I wish you a Merry Christmas. May Christ dwell in each one of you and in our parish community.

Queridos Hermanos y Hermanas,

Feliz Navidad!

Qué gran oportunidad la que nos da la Iglesia de que podamos venir todos juntos a celebrar esta magnífica Solemnidad de la Natividad del Señor. Siempre será hermoso reconocer la gran verdad que se manifiesta en este día con el nacimiento del Mesías, llamado también el Emmanuel, palabra que significa “Dios con nosotros”. ¿No es esa una de las mayores certezas y promesas que queremos hacer presente en nuestra vida? En verdad Dios está con nosotros. Que nadie ni nada nos robe de esa profunda convicción. Y si Dios está con nosotros, dice San Pablo, ¿quién estará contra nosotros? Esta Navidad es el momento propicio para renovar nuestra fe en Dios, el cual no nos abandona ni nos deja a la deriva de los problemas y dificultades o de aquellos que nos quieren hacer daño. Él mismo se ha puesto al frente de la salvación del género humano y nos ha dado por Salvador a su propio Hijo, Jesucristo el Señor.

En este día de Navidad quiero agradecerle a cada uno de ustedes por estar aquí, por orar con nosotros al Dios que viene, por unirnos juntos como una comunidad de fe para celebrar a Cristo que nace. Que Él nazca en el corazón de cada uno de ustedes, que su misericordia y amor se manifiesten en su familia y diario vivir, que los sentimientos bonitos de Navidad se extiendan a cada aspecto de su vida y a cada persona con la que ustedes se encuentren.

Aquí en la Parroquia San Agustín seguiremos estando para servirlos y ayudarlos a acercarse a Cristo. Como pueden apreciar en la página 5, estamos presentando a los miembros del staff para que nos sigan conociendo. Estamos dispuestos a acompañarlos en lo que necesiten. Déjennos saber cómo podemos orientarlos y ayudarlos. Agradezco a nuestro personal en la parroquia. Gracias por ayudarnos en esta transición que no ha sido fácil para la mayoría, pero su servicio, paciencia y constancia han ayudado para que todo vaya funcionando a pesar de los contratiempos. Gracias por decir sí al trabajo en la Iglesia.

Y a todos los parroquianos, miembros de los distintos ministerios y organizaciones, estudiantes y personal de la escuela, personal de la parroquia, visitantes y amigos todos, les deseo una Feliz Navidad. Que Cristo habite en cada uno de ustedes y en nuestra comunidad parroquial.
