Fr. Robinson's Message 11/6/22

November 6, 2022Dear Brothers and Sisters,
During this month of November, we will be praying in a special way for those relatives, friends and acquaintances who have passed away. For this we have a special altar in our church where we can all put the photographs of our loved ones. We offer our prayers for them so that, trusting in God's mercy, they may find themselves before the beatific vision, that is, they may now be in the presence of God. Praying for our deceased brothers and sisters is a duty of all of us as Catholics. We cannot forget that one day we will meet again in praise of God in heaven. Let us pray for each other so that our lives resemble what Christ asks of us here on earth so that later we can enjoy his company in heaven.
Preface 1 of the Mass for the Dead says:
In Christ the hope of blessed resurrection has dawned,
that those saddened by the certainty of dying
might be consoled by the promise of immortality to come.
Indeed for your faithful, Lord,
life is changed not ended,
and, when this earthly dwelling turns to dust,
an eternal dwelling is made ready for them in heaven.
November is also considered the Season of Giving. Usually at the end of the year, many people look for organizations to which they can make their donations. I invite you to consider our parish as one of those organizations to which you are going to donate this end of the year. Our parish is going to have several projects with which we want to improve the structures of our buildings and for them we will need financial resources. In the coming weeks we will present some of those projects that will help us keep the buildings in good condition to continue offering our social and spiritual services. Please consider making those donations to our parish during this Giving Season.
Finally, I want to let you know that this coming week I will be in Colombia visiting my family. If you have something urgent that needs to be attended to, please contact the parish office.

Queridos Hermanos y Hermanas,
Durante este mes de noviembre estaremos orando de manera especial por aquellos familiares, amigos y conocidos que han fallecido. Para ello tenemos un altar especial en nuestro templo parroquial en el que todos podemos poner las fotografías de nuestros seres queridos. Ofrecemos nuestra oración por ellos para que, confiando en la misericordia de Dios, se encuentren frente a la visión beatífica, es decir, estén ahora en la presencia de Dios. Orar por nuestros hermanos y hermanas fallecidos es un deber de todos nosotros como católicos. No podemos olvidar que un día nos reuniremos de nuevo en la alabanza a Dios en el cielo. Oremos unos por otros para que nuestra vida se asemeje a lo que Cristo nos pide aquí en la tierra para luego gozar de su compañía en el cielo.
Dice el Prefacio 1 de la Misa de Difuntos:
En Cristo resplandece la esperanza de nuestra feliz resurrección;
y así, aunque la certeza de morir nos entristece,
nos consuela la promesa de la futura inmortalidad.
Pues para quienes creemos en ti, Padre,
la vida no se acaba, se transforma,
y disuelta nuestra morada terrenal,
se nos prepara una mansión eterna en el cielo.
Noviembre también es considerado la Temporada de Dar. Usualmente al ir terminando el año, muchas personas buscan organizaciones a las que puedan hacer sus donaciones. Los invito a que consideren nuestra parroquia como una de esas organizaciones a las que ustedes van a donar en este fin de año. Nuestra parroquia va a tener varios proyectos con los cuales queremos mejorar las estructuras de nuestros edificios y para ellos necesitaremos recursos económicos. En las próximas semanas les presentaremos algunos de esos proyectos que nos ayudarán a mantener los edificios en un buen estado para seguir ofreciendo nuestros servicios sociales y espirituales. Por lo tanto, por favor consideren hacer esas donaciones a nuestra parroquia.
Finalmente, quiero dejarles saber que esta semana siguiente estaré en Colombia visitando a mi familia. Si tienen algo urgente que deba ser atendido, por favor comuníquense con la oficina parroquia.
A todos les deseo una buena semana y que la paz de Cristo esté siempre en sus corazones.
