Fr. Robinson's Message 8/21/22

August 21, 2022Dear Brothers and Sisters,
On Tuesday, August 23rd, St. Christopher's School will begin its new year. I want to welcome back the students, faculty, and administrators who continue at our school. Let me also welcome the students and families who join this great school and parish community.
Dear students, I pray to God that this new school year is full of blessings for you and your families. May the Lord be with you in every moment of social life with your classmates and friends, may he help you grow in discipline to carry out your studies in the best possible way, may he grant you peace and serenity at school and at home.
To the teachers, I thank you for saying yes to this mission to which you have been called. May God help you to have the strength, patience, courage and love you need to teach children and young people who expect from you the transmission of knowledge and life values.
I thank Michelle Walthers for her years as principal of the school. Thank you for her efforts in helping the school sustain itself and welcome new families that could become part of our community. Michelle is now working at the Office of Catholic School in the Archdiocese of Chicago.
I want to introduce you to the new principal of St. Christopher's School, Nicole Tzoumas. Nicole was the first grade teacher for several years and has now accepted this call to be the principal of the school. I pray that God will bless her as she begins this work and that the Holy Spirit will grant her the necessary gifts to lead the faculty, love the students and respond appropriately to the administrative tasks.
I ask all parishioners to join me in praying for the St. Christopher school community. May they always have our support so that our school continues to grow stronger and all those who entrust themselves to our educational leadership can receive the best teachings for their present and future life.

Queridos Hermanos y Hermanas,
El martes 23 de agosto la Escuela de San Christopher comenzará su año escolar. Quiero darle la bienvenida de regreso a los estudiantes, facultad y administradores que continúan en nuestra escuela. También permítanme darle la bienvenida a los estudiantes y familias que se unen a esta gran comunidad escolar y parroquial.
Queridos estudiantes, pido a Dios que este nuevo año escolar esté lleno de bendiciones para ustedes y sus familias. Que el Señor los acompañe en cada momento de vida social con sus compañeros y amigos, que les ayude a crecer en disciplina para realizar de la mejor manera sus estudios, que les conceda paz y serenidad en la escuela y en casa.
A los maestros les doy las gracias por decir que sí a esta misión a la que han sido llamados. Que Dios les ayude a tener la fortaleza, paciencia, valentía y amor que requieren para enseñar a los niños y jóvenes que esperan de ustedes el ejemplo y la transmisión de conocimiento y valores.
Agradezco a Michelle Walthers por sus años como principal de la escuela. Gracias por sus esfuerzos en ayudar a la escuela a sostenerse y acoger a nuevas familias que pudieran hacer parte de nuestra comunidad. Michelle ahora trabaja en la oficina de las escuelas Católicas de la Arquidiócesis de Chicago.
Quiero presentarles a la nueva principal de la Escuela de San Christopher, Nicole Tzoumas. Nicole fue la maestra del grado primero por varios años y ahora ha aceptado este llamado a ser la rectora de la escuela. Ruego a Dios que la bendiga al comenzar esta labor y que el Espíritu Santo le conceda los dones necesarios para guiar a la facultad, amar a los estudiantes y responder adecuadamente a las tareas de la administración.
A todos los parroquianos les pido que nos unamos en oración por la comunidad escolar de San Christopher. Que cuenten siempre con nuestro apoyo para que nuestra escuela siga fortaleciéndose y todos los que se confían a nuestro liderazgo educativo puedan recibir las mejores enseñanzas para su vida presente y futura.
