June 17, 2023Dear Brothers and Sisters,
A very special greeting to all dads on their day. May God bless all these men who have been father figures in our lives. I pray to God to send the grace of his blessing on our fathers, stepfathers, grandfathers, uncles, and godfathers.
God our Father, in your wisdom and love you made all things.
Bless these men, that they may be strengthened as Christian fathers.
Let the example of their faith and love shine forth.
Grant that we, their sons and daughters,
may honor them always with a spirit of profound respect.
Grant this through Christ our Lord.
This weekend I want to thank our four parishioners who offer their faith reflection on their experience as fathers. Thanks to Joe Alfano, Jim Bertucci, Jerry Gillis, and Nicolás Vicencio. Happy Father's Day!
As you may recall, during the month of March we asked all parishioners to respond to a parish survey organized by the Archdiocese. I want to report that in total we had 385 completed surveys, of which 76 were on paper and 309 online. This means that 32% of those attending the weekend Masses answered our survey. Throughout the Archdiocese, 46,800 surveys were answered for a total of 19% of those who attend Mass. We're going to start getting some of the results back in the next few weeks and we'll have conversations about what we're doing right and what opportunities lie ahead. I thank you immensely for your support and commitment to the parish, especially your honesty.
A rather busy season has begun with various liturgies in our parish. Summer and fall are opportunities that families take advantage of for baptisms, quinceañeras, weddings, wedding anniversaries and memorial Masses. May God bless all our parishioners and visitors who will accept our hospitality and to whom we have the opportunity to offer a space for encounter with Christ and his Church. Last Saturday we had six baptisms, a quinceañera and four of our children and youth in the SPRED program who received their first communion. God bless them and their families.

Queridos Hermanos y Hermanas,
Un saludo muy especial a todos los padres en su día. Que Dios bendiga a todos estos varones que han sido figuras paternas en nuestras vidas. Ruego a Dios que envíe la gracia de su bendición sobre nuestros padres, padrastros, abuelos, tíos y padrinos.
Dios nuestro Padre,
en tu sabiduría y amor tú hiciste todas las cosas.
Bendice a estos hombres,
para que sean fortalecidos como padres cristianos.
Que brille el ejemplo de su fe y amor.
Haz que nosotros, sus hijos e hijas,
podamos honrarlos siempre
con un espíritu de profundo respeto.

En este fin de semana quiero agradecerles a nuestros cuatro parroquianos que ofrecen su reflexión desde la fe acerca de su experiencia como padres. Gracias a Joe Alfano, Jim Bertucci, Jerry Gillis y Nicolás Vicencio. ¡Feliz día del padre!
Como ustedes recordarán, durante el mes de marzo les pedimos a todos los parroquianos que respondieran a una encuesta parroquial organizada por la Arquidiócesis. Quiero reportar que en total tuvimos 385 encuestas completadas de las cuales 76 fueron en papel y 309 de manera virtual. Esto quiere decir que el 32% de los asistentes a las Misas de fin de semana respondieron nuestra encuesta. En toda la Arquidiócesis se respondieron 46,800 encuestas para un total del 19% de quienes asisten a Misa. Vamos a comenzar a recibir algunos de los resultados en las siguientes semanas y tendremos conversaciones acerca de aquello que estamos haciendo bien y de las oportunidades que tenemos por delante. Les agradezco inmensamente su apoyo y compromiso con la parroquia, especialmente su honestidad.
Ha comenzado una temporada bastante ocupada con distintas liturgias en nuestra parroquia. El verano y el otoño son oportunidades que las familias aprovechan para los bautismos, quinceañeras, bodas, aniversarios matrimoniales y misas memoriales. Que Dios bendiga a todos nuestros parroquianos y visitantes que van a aceptar nuestra hospitalidad y a quienes tenemos la oportunidad de ofrecerles un espacio de encuentro con Cristo y su Iglesia. El sábado pasado tuvimos seis bautismos, una quinceañera y a cuatro de nuestros niños y jóvenes en el programa SPRED que recibieron su primera comunión. Dios los bendiga a ellos y a sus familias.
Que pasen un buen día del padre y una bendecida semana!
