Fr. Robinson's Message 10/22/23

Dear Brothers and Sisters,

As you can read here, Sister Laurinda announces her retirement. We greatly appreciate the generous service she has provided to the parish, especially at the school. I have heard from many people who feel grateful to have had Sister in their lives. A team will be organizing an event where we will have the opportunity to honor Sister Laurinda. We will have more information in the coming weeks.

On this link, you can read a message from the Bishops of the State of Illinois, asking all parishioners to contact their legislators requesting that they maintain the Tax Credit Scholarship Program. If this scholarship program ends, more than 50 children in our parochial school will be affected and this will represent a very strong blow to the normal functioning of this institution. Please let us all help so that the scholarships continue.

Next weekend I will not be in the parish. I thank Bishop Dan Turley and Fathers Tom McCarthy, Mariano Rondael, Jose Gasta and Daniel Villalobos for presiding at the Masses.

Queridos Hermanos y Hermanas,

Como pueden leer aquí, la Hermana Laurinda anuncia su retiro. Agradecemos inmensamente el servicio tan generoso que ha brindado a la parroquia, especialmente en la escuela. Sé de muchísimas personas que se sienten agradecidas por tener a la Hermana en su vida. Un equipo estará organizando un evento en el que tendremos la oportunidad de honrar a la Hermana Laurinda. Tendremos más información en las siguientes semanas.

En este link pueden leer un mensaje de los Obispos del Estado de Illinois, pidiendo a todos los parroquianos que contacten a sus legisladores solicitando que mantengan el Programa de Becas de Crédito Fiscal. Si este programa de becas termina, más de 50 cupos en nuestra escuela parroquial serán afectados y esto representará un golpe muy fuerte al funcionamiento normal de esta institución. Por favor ayudemos todos para que las becas continúen.

El próximo fin de semana no estaré en la parroquia. Agradezco al obispo Dan Turley y a los padres Tom McCarthy, Mariano Rondael, Jose Gasta y Daniel Villalobos por presidir en las Misas.
